Bristol Local Food Fund

As a city, we’re famous for our vibrant food culture. But for thousands of people in Bristol, it’s a world away.

COVID-19 exposed and expanded this divide, making it even harder for many people in our city to access good quality food.

Bristol’s community response has been powerful and inspiring. An incredible partnership of community food projects, businesses, social enterprises, volunteer groups, the Council and city partners came together to make sure that no one went hungry during the pandemic.

Bristol Local Food Fund (BLFF) is building on that amazing energy and spirit, supporting and sustaining the brilliant community food projects that are helping people most in need. BLFF are asking for your help to do it.

BLFF has created a central fund for our city that puts money and power into the hands of people and communities who experience the greatest disadvantages around food.

To ensure the funds go to where they are most needed, BLFF is setting up a Citizen’s Panel – people with lived experience of food insecurity and knowledge of their local communities – to help decide how and where the funds will be awarded.
