Bristol Food Network, in partnership with Bristol Food Policy Council, Bristol Green Capital Partnership and Destination Bristol, launched a campaign to highlight the city’s rich legacy of diverse independent retail and vibrant high street shopping centres on 17 September, 2011.
Since then we launched a 4th July Bristol Independents Shopping competition in 2012, and in conjunction with the Bristol Pound, our Christmas Loyalty Card Scheme, which included over 100 participating independent traders. Plus the Trading Tales and Shopping Stories campaign and a competition to find Bristol’s favourite local independent businesses.
Bristol Food Network produced a lovely collection of high street recipe cards and shared case studies of thriving independent shops, with a website that helped people find out more about how you can help to keep Bristol’s high streets alive!
