Bristol City Council have produced an Essential shopping map allowing you to search by Postcode, Street name or ‘Near Me’ for the location of shops providing essential items in your area.

On Facebook, Bristol Community Care – COVID-19 Mutual Aid connects volunteers with those who need help. Separate mutual aid groups have now been set up for most postcode areas in Bristol. Find the group most local to you using the map of Bristol independent businesses delivering & providing remote services during Coronavirus shutdown – scroll down to show Local groups for people needing and offering assistance.

Bristol Food Union’s website lists local, independent food producers, restaurants and retailers, including details of who can deliver. Note that many businesses are adapting quickly to the current situation, offering takeaways, drive-throughs and deliveries, so it’s worth checking with your usual shops & eateries to see what they’re doing now

Wholesalers and those who normally supply the catering industry are adapting their businesses to sell direct to the public:

  • Arthur David are now delivering to all BS and BA postcodes.
  • Brakes, who normally supply the catering sector are now selling to the general public.
  • Degusta who normally supply restaurants, are now offering home delivery.

In addition, many local independent cafes and restaurants have rapidly switched to become delivery-only by using the nationwide delivery services below. You can search for your favourite venues (some of whom are offering food at specific times only).
