Grow Wilder: Medicinal Roots and Fruits

October 2 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm UTC+1

Learn about plant anti-inflammatories, anti-oxidants and flavonoids, and how to make medicines from autumnal wild herbs.

About the event

Join experienced clinical herbalists Annwen Jones and Becs Griffiths to create your very own immune tonics, herbal vinegars, tinctures and oxymels. On this one day course, you will learn how plants can help you with your immune health and general wellbeing and concoct medicines to take home with you! You will also gain an understanding of how to use plants to build resilience and long-term immunity.

We make use of common wild herbs that grow in the hedgerows and fields and would often be considered ‘weeds’ in the garden.

Learning outcomes:

  • Learn which wild plants in the autumn can be used for medicine making
  • Learn how to identify and harvest medicinal plants sustainably
  • Learn about the immune system, and how important plant chemicals as food and medicine can improve our health and wellbeing
  • Learn medicine making skills, so you can take home remedies on the day and know how to replicate the techniques in your own kitchen.

£60.
