Fire Cooking Workshop, Foraging and Woodland Lunch with Herbs and Wild

This will be the rough timeline of the day (subject to change)
10:30 Arrive: Settle in, have a drink
11-1 Foraging walk + setting up the fire and cooking
2-3 Free time – ask Hannah Thomas any questions about wild food and cooking outdoors or just enjoy the space.
If there is interest from the group, Hannah (Wild Folk) will provide an (optional) exercise to encourage nature connection and a way to take a moment.
Come and learn some techniques in cooking on an open fire, do some foraging, and then feast on your culinary creations! We will share a late lunch together in a beautiful woodland. As well as being a day for learning, we want to create a day that will bring you some calm and space to enjoy being out surrounded by nature. Come by yourself or bring friends and family – all are welcome!
The menu for the lunch will include fish and meat, but vegetarians are welcome.

Hannah Thomas will be leading us in this workshop. Hannah is a chef, baker, forager and recipe developer. After graduating from Durham university with a degree in Biology and Psychology, Hannah trained at Ballymaloe Cookery School, Ireland, which she chose for its focus on using locally produced, seasonal, high welfare and foraged ingredients. After Ballymaloe, Hannah worked as a chef at The Ethicurean, a walled kitchen garden restaurant near Bristol, where she continued to expand her knowledge around herbs, foraging, wild game and fermentation. During her last few months there, she established Herbs and Wild. This year Hannah also appeared on the Channel 4 TV show Crazy Delicious!
