Community Farmer Day – Apple tree pruning
November 11, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm UTC+1| Free
As a send off for 2017, our last Community Farmer Day will be an apple tree pruning workshop. Apple trees are best pruned every winter to encourage a good crop the following year. Trees that are not pruned become less productive and congested with old branches.
It will great to have you along; children are welcome too.
We’ll get the soup and bread in for a delicious lunch and ask you folks bring some goodies along to share too.
Any questions, please drop me an email
Travelling to the Farm
Our vegetable box delivery driver, Barry, has a licensed minibus and he’s happy to bring 16 lucky people along. There are 16 seats available and we are happy to be able to offer this service free of charge. First come, first served. Book your seats on the tickets page in addition to your adult / child tickets.
There will be two pickups in Bristol. The Minibus will be on Baldwin St. opposite the Malloys Pub leaving at 9.15, then from the junction of Lower Approach Rd / Temple Gate which is to the right of Temple Meads station, leaving there at 9.30. Leaving the farm at 4pm returning to both pick up points.
Barry has a white Transit minibus with Community Farm Logos in the windows.
