Charles Dowding ‘No Dig Gardening’ talk
February 27 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm UTC+1| £10
Charles Dowding will be sharing his wealth of experience of ‘No-dig’ gardening followed by q & a’s, book and plant sales plus refreshments
I am delighted to announce that Charles Dowding is coming, once again, to the village on February 27th 2020 to give an illustrated talk on his methods of no dig gardening.
Charles is an acclaimed innovator of no dig, organic growing since 1983 and his original weed free methods give superb results in both small and large areas and applies to any soil types – he currently grows on clay in Somerset. He sells produce from his bio-intensive, no dig garden, has written several books, writes for national and international magazines, runs a YouTube channel, appears on TV and radio and teaches extensively at home and abroad.
Following his appearance on BBC Gardeners World, Monty Don said that “Charles has become the guru of no dig growing. He’s a really good grower of organic and fabulous produce. I’m a convert now; one should dig as little as possible.”
Charles will give an illustrated 80 minute talk on how to have healthy soil, few weeds and pests and enjoy easier, bountiful harvests, followed by a question and answer session.
The talk will be at Wrington Memorial Hall (next to Memorial Road). Refreshments will be available (make sure you arrive in plenty of time to enjoy the selection, including some gluten and dairy-free options), along with the opportunity to buy signed copies of Charles’ and his partner, Steph’s, books and more, plus a selection of plants.
Tickets cost £10 and are available at the top of this page via Eventbrite or directly from myself, Charlie Armour 01934 863100/07967 597182.
Parking is limited at the venue so please allow time for this/arrange lift sharing.
Doors open at 7pm.
