Bristol Food Justice Week launch event
June 21 @ 9:00 am - 2:30 pm UTC+1
From Feeding Bristol: At Feeding Bristol we work towards food justice. We want Bristol to be a city where everyone has access to nutritious, affordable and culturally appropriate food, which is grown, produced, sold and consumed in ways that care for people and the environment.
This event is part of Food Justice Week 2022 and aims to bring people together, from across the City, to have those food justice conversations.
As part of this event, we will be launching the One City Food Equality Strategy with Bristol City Council, and increasing awareness of the work going on around the city with organisations that are making a positive difference within our food system for those most at risk from food inequality. It will also be one of the opportunities to contribute to the action planning to drive the Food Equality Strategy forward.
The morning will include talks from Mayor Marvin Rees, Deputy Mayor Asher Craig and Cllr Ellie King, and an overview of how we created the Food Equality Strategy. There will be an opportunity to give feedback on the actions that you would like to see, and the event will be available in-person and online, with facilitated online breakout rooms.
Capacity is capped at 100, but unlimited online.
This event will be a hybrid delivery. The physical event will be held at City Hall and will be live-streamed for virtual attendance.
When booking tickets, please book for either the physical or the virtual event, not both. Should a physical not be possible due to circumstances beyond our control, we will revert to a fully virtual event.
