Bristol Food Network C.I.C is looking for a volunteer or volunteers to help with Communications, ideally someone who can commit half a day to a day a week for at least a month. BFN supports, informs and connects individuals, community projects, organisations and businesses who share a vision to transform Bristol into a sustainable food city. You could be working on core Bristol Food Network Communications or on ‘Bristol Good Food 2030’ which is soon to launch, an integrated food system transformation action plan which will engage with multiple partners across the city in order to deliver on the food-related targets of the One City Plan; Climate & Ecological Emergency Strategies; and the emerging Food Equality Strategy. This work will provide exposure to a huge range of organisations across the city, with opportunities to make new connections and understand how different elements of the city’s food system work together.

There are lots of varied tasks we need help with and, depending on your experience, we can tailor the work to what you might be interested in helping with and learning about. This could include helping to write Comms material, updating resources, photography, events, and social media content and planning. We’d particularly love to hear from any whizzes at Excel to help us manage data. If you are interested, please get in touch with heloise@bristolfoodnetwork.org introducing yourself and the aspects of Comms that you would like to work on.
