Cuts in funding mean that St Werburghs City Farm urgently needs to raise £20,000 by the end of March to feed and care for the animals over the coming year, and to keep the City Farm free and open to all.

The City Farm provides animal care to help vulnerable children and adults with learning difficulties, as well as being a precious inner city green space promoting health and wellbeing.

Due to cuts in grant funding that helped pay for the care of the farm’s animals, they urgently need to raise £20,000 this year, to feed and care for the animals, and to keep the City Farm free and open to all. Some of the money raised will also be used to support the Farm’s new vegetable seedling social enterprise, providing back to work employment training, as well as generating an income help to support the Farm in future years.
