Hobbs House Bakery is a family business boasting five generations of baking experience, spanning back to the 1920s. 100 years on, bread, cakes and pastries are still handmade using classic recipes.
Hobbs House Bakery is the first British bakery to become a Certified B Corporation; a global movement driving change in society through ethical and sustainable business. 95% of their flour comes from local mill, Shipton Mill. All coffee and tea comes through local roaster, Extract and all other food supplies are sourced within 25 miles of Bristol. They support the Real Bread Campaign’s No Loaf Lost and they work to repurpose bread into local communities. Used coffee grounds are available to customers for composting. A refillable milk station is available at this branch as well as their Chipping Sodbury and Malmesbury branches. It offers organic, semi-skimmed milk from Chew Valley Dairy. Reusable glass bottles are available for £1.
All of the takeaway coffee cups are compostable but the company promotes the use of reusable cups by offering a 10% discount off hot drinks. The Hobbs House Bakery branded reusable cups are made from bamboo and you can also buy reusable bread bags from the store.
