The famous Better Food Company of St Werbugh’s has just opened a shop on Whiteladies Road, Clifton. They have been trading in Bristol for nearly 20 years, first offering organic home delivery and then 10 years later as Bristol’s only one stop organic food shop. MD, Phil Haughton believes that food is best when it’s local, ethical and organic and produced by farmers who are passionate about what they do.

Much of the fruit and vegetables are supplied by The Community Farm, see www.thecommunityfarm.co.uk, which is less than 10 miles away from the shop. They have over 65 local producers, many of whom have worked with them for over 15 years. The Clifton store manager, James, will soon be publishing their 10 mile Christmas order offer, including turkeys raised alongside the Community Farm. It is hard to think of any vegetarian or vegan products that they do not stock and there is also a small cafe selling organic drinks.
