The course content will focus on permaculture in a smallholding and small garden setting. We will be covering permaculture principles using practical sessions wherever possible. Most of the course will be hands on, learning how to plant, mulch, seed save, graft, layer, survey, and compost. This outside work will be complemented by a basic grounding in permaculture principles. We aim to cover a lot of ground as a ‘taster’. Participants can then go on to a 2 week design course if they wish, or simply take away a wealth of resources and web links to deepen their understanding.
