Overarching purpose & links to Bristol Good Food plan:
The idea of an Eat Bristol brand is to create a mechanism to help increase the market for local produce. The brand could help increase visibility and awareness of local food. Food grown, raised and processed in and around Bristol could be clearly identified, and the brand underpinned by transparent criteria based on the Good Food Charter. There are two important angles that link to the Bristol Good Food Plan to consider in this brand discussion.
- How to increase the amount of food grown, processed and sold within Bristol
- How to increase the volume of staple foods from the city region sold into
Bristol
