10am–4.30pm Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December
Situated in the beautiful grounds of this historic estate, this festive event is sure to be the silver sixpence in the Christmas pudding this year. With decadent hand-made jewellery, fur hats and scarves to wood crafts and ceramics; the craft stalls situated in the beautiful Hayloft will be a’bustle with original gifts. Downstairs in the stables and courtyard will be the food stalls selling the finest locally produced beer and cider, cheese, handmade chocolates, Christmas puds, cakes, apple juice and a wide selection of other artisan food gifts.
To keep those cockles warm we’ll be roasting hot chestnuts, simmering the mulled wine, warming the mince pies and basting the hog roast to keep you well fed and watered whilst you shop for wonderful and unusual gifts all made by local artists and producers.
And for our young visitors, we have word that Father Christmas will be stopping off for a well deserved rest and meeting those that have been good this year! We’ll also be running a creative festive workshop on Sunday 4 December. Booking for both activities can be made by calling Ashton Court Visitors Centre tel: 0117 963 9174
Local musicians and singers will endeavour to keep the mood festive and the Libertine Theatre Company will be performing dramatic interludes in Jacobean dress and spirit!
Businesses taking part include Forest of Avon products, Eleon Fine Foods, Lovely Drinks, Harts Bakery, Christine Harley Textiles, Cowshill Farm, Pilton Cider, Gorgeous Georges, Jane Booth Ceramics, Mullion Cove and Stainswick Farm.
