The Community Farm Winter Wassail
January 27 @ 2:00 am - 5:00 pm UTC+1| Free
Join us to celebrate the growth of our apple trees and wish them good health.
We will be following the ancient tradition of the Orchard Wassail by toasting and singing to the trees to promote a good harvest for the coming year.
There’ll be willow wreath making, followed by a bonfire where we’ll learn traditional wassail songs and sing together lead by folk singer Susana Waters.
Guests can warm up with a cup of hot cider or mulled apple juice, listening to songs performed by a local folk group.
What to bring
We’re a working farm so it might be muddy. Please wear sturdy footwear such as wellies or walking boots. While there will be a bonfire it might still be cold (and a little dark) so best wrap up warm and bring a torch.
The event is free to attend but donations are welcome.
