MONDAYS
Cost: £2 per session – take home what you make.

Nutrition & Cooking for Parents with Young Children 10am–12 noon
Under the guidance of our qualified tutor you will:

  • learn how to plan healthy, low cost meals for your family
  • develop your cooking skills in our community kitchen
  • make a dish to take home for the family to try each week

Ask about funded crèche space if you need this to attend the course

Cooking on a budget 1–3pm

  • Tired of eating the same foods each week?
  • Do you want to throw away less food?
  • Would you like to make your food budget go further?
  • We will learn how to
    – Save money
    – Cook once – eat twice
    – Make a meal using leftovers
    – Do meal planning
    – Understand Food Date Labels

TUESDAYS
Cost: £2 per session – take home what you make.

Cook Your Way To ‘Five A Day’ 9.30–11.30am
Cooking your favourite dishes – with more fruit and vegetables included – to help achieve our ‘5
A Day’. This group is ideal for anyone who would like to improve their own (or their family’s) health and wellbeing through improving their diet.

Cooking and Nutrition for Adults with Type 2 Diabetes 1–3pm

  • Have you been diagnosed with, or told you are at risk of, Type 2 Diabetes?
  • This cooking and nutrition course will cover what you can eat! Each week we will make food to take home and talk about
    – healthy food choices on a budget
    – how to read food labels
    – healthy ways to cook some of your favourite foods!

WEDNESDAYS
£2.50 per session

The Moveable Feast 10.15am–2pm
An opportunity for residents of BS13 / 14 to get out and about, meet new people, cook together and share the feast! This is an ongoing group, which combines healthy cooking with socialising. Meet at No.10 The Peoples Kitchen.


THURSDAYS
After school Cookery: £2 per child. Take home what you make.

Good foods for Good Moods 10am–12pm
How your diet can support your mental health. Pick up practical tips for eating well and feeling good in a
supportive group environment.

Community lead group 10–12pm

This is a cookery group organised by some street members in Hartcliffe. If you are a BS13/14 resident and have friends/ neighbours who would like to learn about cookery and healthy eating, get in touch and we can see what we can do!


If you need a crèche space, please ask as we are sometime able to fund spaces.

Our courses run throughout the year, so if you are interested in joining a course at a later date, or are interested in a course which has already started, please do give us a call to register your interest
